We pride ourselves on our therapeutic approach to fostering, which is why we also offer specialist training to help you become a therapeutic foster carer.
Therapeutic fostering entails more than just providing physical care. It involves being able to think about the child you look after differently, understanding their behaviour and knowing how to respond in a way that can help them recover from past experiences.

We know how important it is to listen to our foster carers which is why we have annual reviews which are a great opportunity for you to discuss the progress of your placement(s), share any concerns or ask to be considered for other types of placements.
You can use this as an opportunity to discuss your fostering experience, talk about your achievements and request any additional training or support.
