Our foster carers are a diverse group of people from all walks of life and come from all sorts of backgrounds. However, they do have one thing in common – a passion for transforming the lives of some of Scotland’s most vulnerable children and young people.
Want to join them? If you’re patient, enthusiastic and dedicated, you’ve got what it takes to foster with us.
Where do I start?
Becoming a foster carer is a big decision and there are lots of things to think about before deciding whether it’s right for you including the impact fostering will have on your family and the fees and allowances you’ll receive.
Understanding how the fostering process works will also give you a better idea of what to expect when you apply to FCA Scotland. And it’s worth checking out the other things you’ll need to foster with us, like a spare bedroom.
