Halloween fun for all
Our Halloween party was packed with fun, creativity and plenty of spooky smiles. From pumpkin carving to wrapping up the mummy, everyone got involved — and the effort on display was truly spook-tacular.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make it such a brilliant event.
Festive fun and Christmas celebrations
As we headed into the festive season, our Christmas pantomime trips in both the East and West quickly filled up – and the excitement was clear to see.
In the West, families enjoyed Jock and the Beanstalk, while in the East, Aladdin whisked everyone away on a magical adventure. Both trips were full of laughter, colour and festive cheer, and it was lovely to see so many familiar faces enjoying time together.
It was the perfect way to kick off the Christmas countdown.
Foster carer appreciation
Our North East families combined their Foster Carer Appreciation Day with an October outing to Codona’s — and even the weather joined in. It was a lovely day spent together, celebrating the amazing foster carers who give so much every day.
Baby hat appeal – thank you
We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who supported our baby hat appeal. Thanks to your kindness and generosity, we collected over 600 baby hats — an amazing achievement as we close out the year.
These beautifully made hats are now being distributed across Scotland, from Ayrshire to Inverness and everywhere in between. Every single one represents care, warmth and community spirit.
Please keep an eye out for photos from our drop-offs, and thank you again for making such a meaningful difference.
Supporting our communities through foodbank shopping
Following our successful Colour Run fundraising in June, the money raised was used to support our foodbank appeal.
Throughout November and December, young people took part in shopping for foodbank items, with fun challenges along the way. They carefully tracked spending and put real thought into every purchase.
Donations were packed at the FCA Scotland office and then distributed to foodbanks across the country, including Lomond Pantry, Coatbridge Community Foodbank, Central West and Integration Network Foodbank in Glasgow, Acre Community Hall in Maryhill, Lochside Community Centre in Dumfries, Dunfermline Foodbank in Fife and Inverclyde Foodbank in Greenock.
We’re so proud of everyone involved — a brilliant example of young people giving back to their communities.
